OUR PET CREMATION PROCESS
With care, every step of the way
Whether it's a hand over of care at our premises in Cockburn Central, personalised collection from your home, or from your vet's clinic - we will arrange and coordinate everything to ensure we carry out the respectful collection of your pet. From the moment we’re notified, our team will make all the arrangements with the clinic to takes over with care with dignity, and clear communication.
~ We care about how your pet is transported and stored and use the most respectful and dignified options available. At Evermore, we use the Forever Bed — a premium, purpose-designed body bag with a secure I.D. section to ensure the highest standard of dignity and care. This thoughtful design allows for respectful handling and secure transport at every stage.
~ Your pet is respectfully transported in our purpose-built vehicle, designed to ensure each pet is placed individually with no stacking. Our highly experienced logistics team will ensure your pet is brought directly to our dedicated care premises with the upmost respect at all stages of the handling and transportation.
~ Once your pet arrives, a dedicated member of our team will thoroughly verify their identity against our records to ensure complete accuracy. We go above and beyond to carefully check and record any belongings that may accompany your pet - ensuring we verify your instructions to ensure we honour your wishes we best way we can. Your pet is then stored individually (without stacking) in our custom build temperature-controlled room.
~ Upon request, our highly skilled team of keepsake artists will hand-prepare high-quality keepsakes that meaningfully reflect your pet’s memory. Immediately upon completion, all keepsakes are labelled or hand written with your pet's information and packed safely away. Every keepsake is created with the utmost care, respect, and attention to detail. Our team are always willing to hear our special requests, so please feel free to ask in advance.
~ On the scheduled day of cremation, our management team will first ensure any keepsakes, belongings and any special requests or instructions are prepared correctly, accurately and of good quality. Once approved, your pet is cremated in a private, individual chamber to ensure you receive only their ashes. As well as utilising digital time stamps, each chamber is clearly identified and documented throughout the entire process for complete peace of mind.
~ Following cremation, your pet’s remains are carefully processed (reduced) into ashes, then respectfully parcelled and labelled. This process is conducted in turn with identification maintained throughout all steps and stages. Once completed, your pet's ashes are placed inside our signature Evermore velvet drawstring pouch for safe and dignified return.
~ We now carefully prepare any chosen urn and/or keepsakes, ensuring everything is included & beautifully presented. Two separate staff (including a manager) perform independent quality checks for accuracy & completeness. Our commitment to strict quality control is underpinned by one simple principle: we only accept what we would want ourselves.”
Your pet’s ashes and any requested keepsakes and / or memorials are now ready to be returned to you and your family—where they truly belong. You may choose home delivery, have them sent back to your vet clinic, or collect them from our office. Although this part of our service is now complete, we’re always here to listen and support you in any way we can.
